🚚 Vehicle Transport Insurance – Important Information
At Grady’s Transport, we’re fully insured under a carriers insurance policy specifically designed to cover vehicles while in transit within Australia.
It’s important to note that this is transport insurance only and not a replacement for your own motor vehicle insurance.
✅ What Our Transport Insurance Covers:
-
Accidental damage caused by collisions, rollovers, or other transport-related incidents
-
Deliberate third-party acts, such as vandalism or attempted theft
-
Theft or non-delivery, provided reasonable security measures are in place
-
Accidental load shift, where a vehicle becomes dislodged during transit
❌ What Our Transport Insurance Does Not Cover:
-
Natural disasters, including flood, storm, hail, or bushfire
-
Mechanical failure, including damage caused by it, as well as general wear, tear, or deterioration of the vehicle
-
Damage caused by pests, mildew, or other environmental exposure
-
Low-clearance vehicles: We cannot accept claims for underbody or clearance-related damage for vehicles with less than 150mm ground clearance
-
Vehicles manufactured before 1990: These are not covered due to their age and the increased risk associated with transporting older vehicles
-
Loose or unsecured parts: We cannot accept claims for damage caused by parts, fittings, or accessories that come loose during transit. Vehicles must be secured and fit to withstand highway travel at speeds of up to 100 km/h
-
Items left inside the vehicle: We cannot accept liability for personal items left in the vehicle, or for any damage caused by those items moving during transit
⚠️ Please Note:
This is not a replacement for your own motor vehicle insurance.
We strongly recommend maintaining a comprehensive insurance policy for your vehicle at all times.
